Humanistic Judaism is a movement of secular Jews who derive great meaning from Jewish traditions, but don’t believe in the God of the Bible. We replace worship of the supernatural with ritual and liturgy that speaks to the human experience, creating an authentic way to express Jewish identity in harmony with modern, universalist values.
We define a Jew as someone who commits themselves to the history and fate of the Jewish people. While we do offer courses if you want to deepen your Jewish understanding, we don't limit your membership based on how you are Jewish, who your parents were, how much Hebrew you know, or even if you are just seeking more and want to see if our Judaism is for you.
Judaism that is specifically tailored to wherever you are, whatever your interests.
NO HEBREW REQUIRED
NO CREED OR REQUIREMENT OF BELIEF
We welcome all who seek to support human dignity, human survival, and human happiness through a Jewish lens.
There's more to Judaism than B'nai Mitzvahs and weddings (although we love those too!). In addition to holidays, we specialize in rituals other synagogues won't touch- like interfaith ceremonies, LGBTQIA coming out, name change, gender confirmation and polyfamily ceremonies!
